ETL Data Engineer

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for developing, sustaining, and improving the current system data ingest functions and make adjustments, as needed, by performing analysis, monitoring and configuring the solution.
  • Creating or updating detailed design information.
  • Accessing and reviewing the code repository, administering code reviews, adjusting unit testing, maintaining build support, including continuous integration, sustain operational support activities and respond to mission critical requests.
  • Working with application development tools, standards and languages.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting production systems
  • 7+ years of IT work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience using ETL Tools such as: Informatica, StreamSets, Talend and/or other similar ETL tools
  • At least 6 years’ experience with PL/SQL, SQL, XML, XSLT, Java, web services, SVN, RCS, Git, OLS Security, JIRA, Linux (CentOS, Red Hat), and Windows
  • At least 1 year experience defining/modeling/implementing an Enterprise Data Warehouse using best practices
  • Experience using ETL tools in a data analysis, data engineering or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
  • Ability to pass and maintain a government background check

Preferred Skills:

  • A Demonstrated working knowledge of database schema, objection management, data modeling & architecture, and data warehouse design
  • Excellent written or oral communication skills
  • Preferred at least 1 year experience working with Tableau Prep
