Benefits
Our client, an agency charged with the safety, security, and well-being of our embassies abroad, provides counterintelligence and counterterrorism support for U.S. diplomatic missions. With the growing traffic through U.S. Embassies, the client sought to leverage data from their biometrics information system that collects, stores, matches and tracks biometric data and records. From finger and palm prints to retinal and facial scans and more, the system provides a timely, accurate, and complete response indicating whether or not they have prior criminal activity and identifying potential threats to U.S. security.
The client needed a team to create a method behind different levels of threat and that had experience in counterintelligence, counterterrorism, biometric systems, HUMINT (Human Intelligence) as well as data mining and strategic development. The project had been stalled for more than five months while trying to identify the right team with no success.
Client Needs:
We began working with the client to develop key success metrics and further define the mission. Through our strategic meetings, the scope was fully developed into the overall plan. Going beyond the technology, our team and team lead needed vast experience with U.S. assets and a deep-rooted knowledge of the CI and HUMINT operations.
Our efforts had to begin by breaking down the project into multiple silos from military experience to technology experience to CI and HUMINT experience. Within a three-day window, we worked with our resources to assemble this highly specific team. Identifying the resources from a technical perspective was challenging; however, the non-technical experience proved to be the most difficult.
The initial team kickoff began by further detailing the project and gathering additional business requirements. Initial development began and working with the client, the prototype took shape. From database development to the biometric data and sensors, our team worked hand-in-hand with the client to meet their specific goals and objectives.
This project has already seen much success; however, it is an ongoing project to expand the development for our U.S. assets abroad.
Solution:
Ignitec and the client working together created a highly effective and efficient team. While the project is ongoing, the benefits of both the project and the relationship between Ignitec and the client are clear.
